Bollywood and Indian Cinema as a whole have portrayed the leading ladies as a prize for their counterparts. The female actors are often told to look good so that they can look attractive on the big screen. In earlier time there were no female characters are written with the depth or shades. There were no meaty roles for women who could define their characters and fit into the script in order to contribute to the narrative of the show or movie.

  1. Aarya: The character is played by Sushmita Sen. She has regularly proved that beauty and brains is very true concept. Aarya is a strong character takes responsibility of everything destiny forces her to take up. The second season of the show displays different shades of the character beautifully as her life gets even more complicated.
  • Fatima Begum: Fatima Begum is character who stands firmly against all the stereotypes the society has written in its rule book. She exudes confidence, self awareness and cleverness like a boss lady. She does not care about her old age.
