Boss is a 2019 Hindi action, drama, mystery, romance thriller web series. Karan Singh Grover and Sagarika Ghatge are in the male and female leads respectively. It is directed by Ankush Bhatt. It is directed by Galib Asad Bhopali.
The series revolves around Keshav Khatri who has disguised as Inspector Sudhir Kohli and has joined the special task force to find out about the crime happening against small children. He also needs to look for the balloon man. Who has kidnapped his daughter as well.
The web series is a onetime watch. It does not let loose on thrill factor up until the end of the show. The audiences enjoy the antics of Keshav and at some point are forced to think how he managed to do that. The web show Boss does not follow or justify any logic in the movement of the narrative. It also uses the sexual content really extensively for pushing the storyline forward. If you are in mood for laughter and some light entertainment you can go for this option.
Now talking about performances of the show:
- Karan Singh Grover plays the role of Keshav Khatri. The character of Keshav has many layers to it. He is a con man who always ready to cheat people in order to take care of his little daughter Pari. Though Keshav is very street smart and clever but he has a soft side to him when he is a single father to Pari.
- Sagarika Ghatge as Sakshi Ranjan. She is strictly professional when on duty. Keshav and Sakshi don’t agree on various things like she disapproves of using sex as a tool to solve cases. Even though these two don’t like each other but make a great team and solve all the cases like a pro and manages to decode the balloon man mystery as well.
- Ayaz Khan as Inspector Asif Malik is extremely honest person. He is very adamant to report to the authorities that someone is disguised as Sudhir Kohli. It was good to watch both Karan and Ayaz reunite after so many years. It transported me to the Dill mill Gaye days for a while.
- Tarun Mahilani as Janardhan ‘Johnny Bist’. He is the junior most in the special task force. He is very supportive in every case. He follows all orders from Sakshi Ranjan and Sudhir Kohli.
- Kavina Tak as Pari(Keshav’s daughter ). She is very cute and talented child actor. She has performed her sequences very well. The onscreen bond of the daughter and a single father is effortlessly portrayed. Both the actors appear to be really comfortable with each other.
- Mahesh Shetty as a police chief as well as the balloon man. I love the way the police chief is shown leading the case without hinting that he himself is the balloon man. He has his set of emotional break downs as a father who has lost his child. He is shown to have taken up the route to crime in order to bring peace to a mother who has lost her mental balance after losing her daughter.
