A screen test is a method of determining the suitability of an actor or actress for performing on film or in a particular role. The developed film is later evaluated by the relevant production personnel such as the casting director and the director of the film.
Bollywood always eyes for commercially successful movies so the screen test becomes even more important so that the actors as well as the entire team get help from the clip to improvise on certain aspects and hence make the finished product more fruitful for the audience. It also assists the actors to get into the character’s skin and the head space.
