Importance of songs in a Bollywood movie?


 India is country which celebrates everything with utmost joy and happiness. Cricket and Bollywood is the two industries that pull the maximum amount of crazy fans. The songs help to take the storyline forward. The song can be used as background music for a specific character or an onscreen pair or used to showcase the emotional turmoil of character as well as a situation.

Hollywood Bollywood and Tollywood industries has a love story going on with making films and presenting it in front of the audiences but Bollywood has a separate persona with inclusion of songs and dances. Music can be source of healing a person.    Success of a Bollywood movie is ensured at the box-office only if there are some catchy songs in it. It becomes the duty of the music composer, Lyrist, Singer to give us soulful songs so that there are footfalls in the cinema halls.

Here is the list of Top 6 songs that emotionally appeal to me as an audience:

  • Kal ho na ho: This song never fails to get me emotional  as Naina, Aman and Rohit all three characters are struggling with their feeling for each other but are afraid to own up because of certain reasons.
  • Chaiyyan Chaiyyan: This song manages the audience to get involved with the storyline. Sitting in the cinema hall actually you want to join the dance sequence happening at the top of the train.
  • Tujhe Dekha toh yeh Jana Sanam: This song give rise to your romantic hormones inside and you are forced to believe that someone like Raj will also come to your life and make it all lovey -dovey.
  • Noor re Khuda: It gives you chills in your spine as both Sharukh and Kajol’s characters are facing hardships because their son died due to religious discrimination.  
  • Maula mere lele meri jaan: This song compels you to shed a tear or two as it is big moment for coach Kabir khan and his team as they have managed to win the championship  specially  for Kabir singh who was declared a betrayer and has managed to get back his reputation after the big win proving himself not guilty.
  • The maa song: It is emotional song which tries to define what a child faces at the hostel without his mother.
